Montrose Music Festival 2008

01st June 2008

What a great success the first ever Montrose Music Festival has been. For me it all kicked off when I went along to see Michael Marra at the Links Hotel on Thursday night.
For all those were lucky enough to there, what a great night we had. Michael Marra is a class act and well worth seeing if you ever get the chance. He even has family connections with Montrose, although he has a Dundee accent.

The Headline act at the town Hall was the Festival's finest hour, or two. What a brilliant night, starting with the support acts, but class, nostalgia and musical genius was all on the menu delivered by Average White Band, who had the fans shouting for more, and more! I doubt if Montrose will witness such a class act again. Now there is a challenge for the festival organisers for MMF2.

Speaking about the festival organisers, a great big thank you has to go out to everyone of them for putting Montrose on the Music Map. Well done!

We were also blessed with great weather on Saturday as the outdoor events took place in the High Street.
